Position Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Senior MERN Stack Developer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Developer, you will lead the technical design, implementation, and maintenance of our web applications using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js). You will mentor junior developers, collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, and drive best practices in software development.

Responsibilities:

Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable, robust, and maintainable web applications using the MERN stack

Develop and maintain front-end and back-end components, ensuring high performance and responsiveness

Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define requirements and deliver features

Mentor and coach junior developers, conducting code reviews and providing technical guidance

Implement security and data protection measures

Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability

Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends, advocating for adoption where appropriate

Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to improving team processes

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience

5+ years of professional experience as a MERN Stack Developer or similar role

Expertise with MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js

Strong understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and responsive design principles

Experience with state management libraries and patterns such as Redux or Context API

Proficient in designing and consuming RESTful APIs and asynchronous JavaScript

Solid understanding of authentication and authorization mechanisms (e.g., JWT)

Familiarity with version control systems such as Git/GitHub

Strong debugging and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with TypeScript and/or GraphQL

Knowledge of containerization and Docker

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks (e.g., Jenkins, Travis CI)

Contributions to open-source projects or a strong GitHub profile showcasing personal projects
