Key Responsibilities :
• Product Sourcing & Selection :
• Identify and collaborate with local and domestic suppliers, manufacturers, and designers.
• Ensure the product range aligns with seasonal trends, customer preferences, and company strategy.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms with suppliers to ensure profitability and cost-effectiveness.
• Market Research & Trend Analysis :
• Monitor domestic fashion trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activity to adjust product offerings accordingly.
• Analyze customer feedback, sales data, and market conditions to predict demand and plan inventory.
• Inventory & Stock Management :
• Work closely with the buying and planning teams to ensure the right products are ordered, delivered, and stocked in the right quantities.
• Monitor stock levels to avoid overstocking or stockouts, ensuring optimal product availability.
• Sales & Profitability :
• Set pricing strategies in collaboration with the marketing and sales teams, ensuring products are competitive while maintaining margin targets.
• Review sales reports and adjust buying patterns based on sales performance and trends.
• Collaborative Planning :
• Coordinate with the marketing and visual merchandising teams to ensure that product displays align with brand positioning.
• Provide feedback to design teams for future collections based on market trends and customer preferences.
• Supplier Relationship Management :
• Build and maintain strong relationships with domestic suppliers and manufacturers.
• Conduct supplier performance reviews to ensure quality, delivery, and service standards are met.
• Logistics & Distribution :
• Work with logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
• Ensure efficient distribution of products across retail stores or online platforms.
• Reporting & Analysis :
• Provide regular reports on product performance, sales trends, inventory levels, and market insights to senior management.
• Conduct post-season analysis to evaluate the success of the product assortment and inform future buying decisions.
Key Skills & Qualifications :
• Education : Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, Retail Management, or a related field.
• Experience : 2+ years of experience in fashion merchandising, buying, or a related role in the fashion industry.
• Skills :
• Strong knowledge of domestic fashion trends and consumer preferences.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, merchandising software, and other retail management tools.
• Strong analytical skills to assess sales data and trends.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
