Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Merchandiser to join our team in the garment/apparel industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in merchandising, a keen eye for detail, and excellent communication skills. As a Merchandiser, you will be responsible for managing the product development process, from concept to delivery, ensuring timely and profitable product lines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage product development, from concept to delivery
- Collaborate with designers, vendors, and production teams to ensure product quality and feasibility
- Conduct market research and trend analysis to inform product decisions
- Develop and maintain vendor relationships, negotiating prices and terms
- Create and manage product specifications, tech packs, and line sheets
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure timely delivery and quality control
- Analyze sales data and customer feedback to inform future product lines
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in merchandising in the garment/apparel industry
- Diploma or degree in Fashion, Textiles, or related field
- Strong understanding of garment construction, materials, and production processes
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) software
- Knowledge of global sourcing and supply chain management
- Familiarity with quality control and assurance processes
