Merchandiser
Job Description
• Communicate with buyers to understand their requirements, specifications, and expectations.
• Prepare detailed purchase orders and manage production schedules.
• Coordinate with the design and production teams to develop product samples.
• Ensure samples meet buyer specifications and quality standards.
• Manage approvals from buyers for prototypes, fits, and pre-production samples.
• Identify and procure raw materials (fabrics, trims, and accessories) from suppliers.
• Negotiate prices and terms with vendors to meet cost and quality requirements.
• Liaise between buyers and the production team to ensure clarity on requirements.
• Monitor the production process to ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards.
• Resolve issues related to production delays, quality defects, or resource shortages.
• Prepare cost sheets for each order, factoring in raw materials, labor, and overheads.
• Propose pricing to buyers and negotiate to finalize agreements.
• Stay updated on fashion trends, fabrics, and technologies in the industry.
• Analyze market demands and buyer preferences to offer innovative designs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to ?22,000.00 per month
