: MEP Engineer

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced MEP Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, designing, and overseeing the installation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems in construction projects. This role combines civil engineering expertise with a deep understanding of MEP systems, ensuring seamless integration with structural and architectural elements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and Planning
• Develop detailed designs for MEP systems, ensuring compliance with project requirements and standards.
• Coordinate MEP designs with architectural and structural plans to ensure proper integration.
• Review and approve technical drawings, specifications, and design modifications.
• Project Management
• Manage MEP aspects of construction projects from inception to completion.
• Prepare project schedules and monitor progress to ensure timely delivery.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to resolve technical and construction issues.
• Installation and Supervision
• Oversee the installation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems on-site.
• Conduct inspections to ensure MEP systems meet quality standards, codes, and specifications.
• Monitor site activities to ensure health, safety, and environmental regulations are followed.
• Cost and Resource Management
• Estimate material and labour costs for MEP systems and ensure cost-effective solutions.
• Optimize resource allocation and minimize project delays.
• Troubleshooting and Maintenance
• Identify and resolve design, installation, and operational issues in MEP systems.
• Provide guidance on the maintenance and sustainability of MEP systems post-construction.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. / Diploma
• Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in MEP design, construction, or project management in Residential, commercial structures.
• Skills:
• Proficiency in MEP design tools (AutoCAD MEP, Revit MEP, etc.) and civil engineering software.
• Strong understanding of building codes, safety standards, and construction practices.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• DIPLOMA
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification or equivalent is a plus.
• Familiarity with sustainability and green building practices (e.g., LEED certification).
• Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM).
