The MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Engineer in an interior fit-out company specializing in corporate projects is responsible for designing, planning, coordinating, and supervising MEP systems. This role ensures the seamless integration of MEP services into the fit-out process, adhering to project requirements, quality standards, and timelines.
Key Responsibilities :
• Design and Planning :
• Develop detailed designs for MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection, tailored to corporate fit-out projects.
• Review architectural and structural drawings to ensure MEP integration without conflicts.
• Conduct load calculations and equipment selection for MEP systems.
• Project Coordination :
• Collaborate with architects, interior designers, and project managers to align MEP designs with project goals.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure proper execution of MEP works.
• Site Supervision :
• Oversee the installation and commissioning of MEP systems on-site, ensuring compliance with approved designs and standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and address any issues.
• Compliance and Standards :
• Ensure all MEP systems comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and client specifications.
• Prepare and review documentation for permits and approvals.
• Quality Control :
• Inspect materials and workmanship to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Identify and resolve any technical issues during the project lifecycle.
• Budget and Cost Management :
• Assist in preparing MEP budgets and cost estimates.
• Monitor expenses related to MEP systems and ensure cost control.
• Testing and Commissioning :
• Plan and execute testing and commissioning of MEP systems to ensure functionality and performance.
• Prepare reports and handover documentation for completed systems.
• Maintenance Support :
• Provide guidance on maintenance requirements for MEP systems post-completion.
• Assist in preparing as-built drawings and manuals for client reference.
Qualifications and Skills :
• Education :
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
• Experience :
• 4-6 years of experience as an MEP Engineer in the interior fit-out industry, with a focus on corporate office projects.
• Hands-on experience in managing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Skills :
• Proficiency in MEP design and drafting tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar software).
• Strong understanding of corporate office MEP requirements and industry standards.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
