Job Title: MEP - Electrical Engineer (Construction)

Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled MEP - Electrical Engineer with experience in the construction industry to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing the electrical systems and infrastructure for various building projects. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and the ability to manage projects from conception to completion.

Responsibilities:

• Design and Planning: Develop detailed electrical designs and plans for construction projects, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and other electrical systems.
• Project Management: Manage electrical projects from initial concept through completion, ensuring adherence to specifications, timelines, and budgets.
• Coordination: Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to integrate electrical systems with other building systems.
• Compliance: Ensure all designs and installations comply with local, state, and federal codes and regulations.
• Material Selection: Specify materials and equipment for electrical systems, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Inspection and Testing: Conduct site inspections and tests to verify that electrical systems are installed correctly and function as intended.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to electrical systems during the design, construction, and post-construction phases.
• Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Innovation: Stay updated with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in the electrical engineering and construction industries.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering/MEP Electricals or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in electrical design and engineering within the construction industry.
• Certifications: Professional Engineer
• Technical Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and other electrical design software.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., NEC).
• Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with sustainable and green building practices.
• Familiarity MEP Electrical works
• Advanced knowledge of power systems, lighting design, and fire alarm systems.

Work Environment:

• This job operates in a professional office environment with working at construction sites.
• Regular, full-time position with standard business hours. Overtime may be required during peak periods or project deadlines.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit for extended periods.
• Ability to visit and inspect construction sites, which may require standing, walking, and climbing.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ?30,000.00 - ?50,000.00 per month
