:
As an MEP Design Engineer, your primary responsibility is to design, develop, and oversee Electrical / HVAC / PHE / Fire fighting / ELV for various projects in commercial & residential buildings and Industries. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that design meet project requirements, industry standards, and safety regulations.
We are looking for people with the following:
• Education: Diploma or Bachelor degree (Electrical / Mechanical / ECE or other relevant engineering graduates)
• Experience: Typically requires 3-5 years of experience in MEP design or a related field. Experience with HVAC design, electrical systems, plumbing systems, Fire fighting, ELV like CCTV, access control, data / Network and building codes/regulations is essential
• Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software, Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Responsibilities:
• Design Development:
• Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for MEP systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing).
• Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other design professionals to integrate MEP systems into the overall building design.
• System Calculations and Analysis:
• Perform calculations for heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), lighting, plumbing systems, etc.
• Conduct energy modeling and analysis to optimize system efficiency and performance.
• Size equipment such as chillers, pumps, air handlers, etc., based on calculated loads and requirements; Transformer, cable, panels for electrical.
• Drafting and Documentation:
• Use AutoCAD, Revit, or similar software to create detailed drawings and schematics.
• Prepare technical specifications and schedules for equipment and materials.
• Review shop drawings and submittals from contractors to ensure compliance with design documents.
• Project Coordination:
• Collaborate with project managers and construction teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Attend meetings with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to discuss project requirements and progress.
• Provide technical support and guidance during construction, addressing any design-related issues that arise.
• Research and Innovation:
• Stay updated on advancements in MEP systems, materials, and technologies.
• Propose innovative solutions to improve system performance, energy efficiency, and sustainability.
