Conditions of Work :

MEP Engineer will work from the Head Office of reputed chain of restaurant at Mumbai. A trip to all the Regional and city locations may be required, so inter-city travel is a condition of work. Labor laws of India are applicable as relevant.

Role Overview :

Purpose : Projects : Planning and designing (Layouts and BOQ- s) of MEP Services for IMPRESARIO Brands New outlets to achieve minimum standard technical requirements in terms of MEP and HVAC, fire safety and networking services
etc

Communication : Internal

- This position will interact with the Design Manager, Interior Designers, Project coordinator, Head of Projects, Head BD, Maintenance Manager.

- Regional Project Managers of each region to stay focused on IMPRESARIO

- Expansion plans/Facility Planning and optimum utilization of available resources for efficient, timely and cost effective results.

- MEP Draftsman - Engineer will work closely with the Internal/External Project and Interior Design Teams to ensure implementation of Facility

- Planning, Project Execution and Project Evaluation as delegated site to site

- Interactions with Heads of other support functions will be frequent.

External :

- This position will work closely with all external agency representatives i.e. architects, MEP, HVAC, kitchen and bar consultant and or contractors,

- Services Providers to ensure effective and efficient Project planning and or delivery support as per the specified guidelines and terms of contract.

- Other important relationships will be maintained with key Architects, Interior designer, product manufacturers or service provider to incorporate the new technological or cost efficient systems or work methods.

Main Duties :

1. Plan MEP - Equipment\'s Layouts, Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing Water- Drain, Fire safety and IT Networking drawings / Details / BOQ\'s and get approvals on the same from Design Manager and / Or Project Head

2. (SDR - Report) Audit and survey upcoming IMPRESARIO New outlets as per standard technical facility evaluation check list to design efficient MEP, HVAC fire safety and networking services

3. Estimate and quantify the scope - MEP, HVAC fire safety and networking during pre-construction.

4. Review Contract Documents, plans or layout making suggestions/modifications as they relate to the MEP, HVAC fire safety and networking service providers

5. Manage and lead MEP subcontractors throughout duration of the project (from Groundbreaking through Commissioning).

6. Assist Scheduling department by developing detailed fit out schedules for all MEP, HVAC fire safety and networking installation activities, including cost and resource loading.

7. Review facility plans and approves material and equipment for MEP, HVAC fire safety and networking systems prior to installation.

8. Monitor the installation and start-up of MEP systems and commissioning of project with site project managers and or maintenance manager.

9. Coordinate activities, materials procurement and other related activities with Project Manager and Field Staff.

10. Communicate progress and prepare appropriate reports as needed.

11. Supervise, develop and mentor execution project staff, if applicable.

12. Lead and direct the 3-D coordination process to resolve all conflicts prior to start of installations.

13. Take overall responsibility for the performance of all MEP, HVAC fire safety and networking services

14. Supervise, review and coordination of submittals and shop drawings.

15. Quality and Quantity Audit of the Sites completed and submission of report

16. Any other duties as may reasonably be requested by the management

Additional Tasks :

- Budget /Estimation for Each New Site Preparation.

- Prepare operations manual on MEP, HVAC fire safety and networking services and or installation at all new or existing outlets

Qualifications :

- Bachelor\'s degree in construction management or engineering or MEP Engineer/Mechanical Engineering

- Knowhow on Architectural / MEP design software. i.e. AutoCAD

Experience :

- 4 to 6+ years of experience in Construction/MEP Coordination.

- Good understanding of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing and low-voltage systems.

- General understanding of Building Codes, Mechanical Codes, Electrical Codes and Plumbing Codes as they relate to construction of project.

- Dealing with MEP subcontracts and subcontractors.

- Knowledge of MEP and HVAC Design application in F&;B / Restaurant - QRS sector

Skills :

- Demonstrate and use expert knowledge of the entire MEP part of construction projects in all its aspects like design, function, installations and coordination with other trades.

- Provide the planning input for the MEP works and Monitor Planning vs. Progress on site.

- Document project progress and/or delays through letters which can be used as contractual aids during disputes.

- Lead and control the document flows.

- Ascertain adequacy of resources deployed for timely completion of the project.

- Audit the performance of MEP subcontractors

- Outstanding verbal and written communications skills in English and the ability to persuade others to consider a different point of view.

- Budget management

- Skill in developing and making effective presentations

- Strong knowledge of interior fit out works, MEP, HVAC, Plant and machineries, fire safety, Lighting systems, Hardware networking development/management

- Creative and a critical trained eye for creative review

- Can draw, Read, interpret Architectural plans / Layout, MEP Plans / Layouts /HVAC plans / Layout, Equipment Data - Specifications etc

- Develop Project Cost Estimates, Track and analyze and interpret the variance

- Can schedule, guide on preventive maintenance for facility upkeep

- Can prepare Site management and milestone charts / schedules
