SUMMARYThe role involves integrating gender considerations into program planning, design, and monitoring, while contributing to the development of gender-sensitive data collection tools, surveys, and research methodologies.ABOUT USWadhwani AI is a nonprofit institute building and deploying applied AI solutions to solve critical issues in public health, agriculture, education, and urban development in underserved communities in the global south. With a team of over 200 professionals, our expertise encompasses AI/ML research and innovation, software engineering, domain knowledge, design and user research.In the Press:SoleCultures page of Wadhwani AI -ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAssist in the integration of gender considerations in program planning, design, and monitoring.Contribute to the development of gender-sensitive data collection tools, surveys, and research methodologies.Conduct and be responsible for field visits for data collectionSupport the compilation and analysis of gender-disaggregated data to inform project design and progress reportingLead data cleaning, quantitative and qualitative data analysis, visualization, and presentationExperience working with, managing, and coding on web-based data collection applications such as SurveyCTO Or KoboCollectDevelopment of reports, presentations and templates for effective internal use and dissemination of reports at state & national levelsFunction with utmost sensitivity towards data confidentiality and privacyPerform duties as assigned by the supervisor from time to time.QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREDMaster's Degree in development studies, public health, demography, statistics, or related subjects. Masters in Epidemiology, Statistics, or Public Health is preferredOne - two years of post-qualification M&E/Quantitative/Qualitative research experience and demonstrated history of practical skills in monitoring and evaluation of donor-funded programs in the health or social sector is preferred.Post qualification experience in supporting operations research protocols and conducting surveys and data collection in the health sector is preferred.Demonstrated experience in data management including data cleaning, standardization, maintenance, collation, analysis, and reporting.Prior work experience in gender studies is highly preferred.COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTClear understanding of monitoring and evaluation principles and practices.Strong knowledge of gender equality issues and gender mainstreaming strategies.Excellent research, and data collection skills.Proficiency in qualitative analysis, including coding and interpreting qualitative data from interviews, and open-ended survey responses.Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and data analysis software (SPSS, Stata, R) etc.Proven effectiveness while working in a team-based environment, but capable also of working independentlyAbility to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a complex environment.Ability to travel as requiredWe are committed to promoting diversity and the principle of equal employment opportunity for all our employees and encourage qualified candidates to apply irrespective of religion or belief, ethnic or social background, gender, gender identity, and disability.
