Job Description

• Transcribe Medical Reports: Accurately transcribe dictated medical reports, including but not limited to, patient histories, discharge summaries, operative reports, consultation notes, and diagnostic studies, ensuring consistency with established guidelines.
• Review and Edit Transcriptions: Proofread transcriptions for accuracy, grammar, clarity, and compliance with medical terminology and hospital guidelines. Ensure all transcriptions are error-free and meet quality standards.
• Maintain Patient Confidentiality: Adhere to hospital policies, HIPAA regulations, and confidentiality agreements to protect patient information and uphold data privacy.
• Organize and Manage Records: Efficiently manage, organize, and file transcriptions within the hospital's electronic health records (EHR) system, ensuring records are accessible and up-to-date.
• Collaborate with Healthcare Professionals: Communicate with physicians and healthcare staff to clarify information, resolve discrepancies, and ensure accuracy in the documentation process.
• Stay Updated on Medical Terminology: Continuously update knowledge of medical terminology, especially as it pertains to multiple specialties, to ensure accurate documentation and transcription.
