Medical Record Technician
Job Description
• Data accuracy : Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of patient information and records
• Patient privacy : Prioritizing patient privacy and complying with laws like HIPAA
• Disaster recovery : Developing a plan to restore data quickly in the event of a natural disaster, cyberattack, or system failure
• Communication : Facilitating better communication between healthcare providers by maintaining well-organized medical records
• Compliance : Ensuring the hospital complies with legal and regulatory requirements
• Clinical documentation : Ensuring accurate and comprehensive documentation of patient assessments, diagnoses, and treatments
• Admission and discharge : Processing patient admission and discharge documents
• Statistical analysis : Analyzing data by redefining objectives, measuring indicators, and comparing findings to expected scores
