:
Position Summary: The Medical Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support. This role involves managing patient appointments, maintaining records, and coordinating communication between patients, healthcare providers, and administrative staff.
Key Responsibilities:
• Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
• Answer and manage incoming calls, emails, and messages efficiently.
• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments.
• Verify patient information, including insurance details, and update records accordingly.
• Collect and process payments for services rendered.
• Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming.
• Assist patients with completing necessary forms and documentation.
• Coordinate with medical staff to ensure timely patient flow.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with regulations.
• Handle patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints with empathy and professionalism.
• Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing office supplies.
• Assist with other duties as needed to support the smooth operation of the clinic/lab.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in healthcare administration or related field is a plus.
• Proven experience as a receptionist, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency in using office equipment and software, including MS Office.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance procedures is desirable.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
• Customer-service oriented with a compassionate and patient-centric approach.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
• Candidates with experience in ECG, Echo, Phlebotomy and Nursing will be given preference
• Female candidates will be given preference
Working Conditions:
• Full-time/Part-time position with varying shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
