### Job Summary:
Previu Yodha Cancer Care Center is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Oncologist to join our team on a part-time basis. The oncologist will be responsible for providing expert medical care to cancer patients, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up care, primarily during morning outpatient (OP) hours. ### Key Responsibilities:
1. Patient Diagnosis and Treatment Planning:
- Provide expert medical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment planning for patients with various types of cancer.
- Conduct thorough assessments of new and existing cancer patients during outpatient consultations, reviewing medical histories, imaging, and lab reports.
- Develop personalized treatment plans, which may include chemotherapy, immunotherapy, radiation therapy, targeted therapies, or clinical trials.
2. Outpatient Care and Consultations:
- Offer consultations to patients in the outpatient clinic three days a week during morning hours (specific days to be determined).
- Provide ongoing management of cancer treatment, monitor response to therapy, and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Counsel patients and families on cancer treatment options, side effects, and prognosis, providing empathetic support throughout the treatment process.
3. Collaboration with Multidisciplinary Team:
- Collaborate with a team of oncologists, surgeons, radiologists, pathologists, nurses, and other specialists to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
- Participate in tumor board meetings, case discussions, and decision-making processes related to complex cancer cases.
- Provide input on clinical trials, experimental therapies, and emerging treatments as part of the comprehensive care model.
4. Follow-Up Care:
- Manage follow-up care for patients, including monitoring for recurrence, managing side effects, and providing supportive care during recovery.
- Track patient progress and adjust care plans based on ongoing assessments.
- Address any concerns or complications arising from cancer treatments and provide timely interventions.
5. Patient Education and Support:
- Educate patients and their families about their diagnosis, treatment options, and potential side effects, ensuring informed decision-making.
- Provide psychological and emotional support, offering reassurance and guidance through difficult stages of the cancer journey.
- Discuss the role of palliative care and end-of-life care as appropriate, emphasizing patient comfort and quality of life.
6. Clinical Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate, detailed, and up-to-date medical records for all patients, ensuring compliance with hospital protocols, privacy laws, and regulatory standards.
- Ensure that patient treatment plans, progress notes, and consultations are documented and communicated effectively within the medical team.
7. Quality Improvement and Continuing Education:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in oncology, treatment protocols, and clinical guidelines through ongoing education, research, and professional development.
- Participate in hospital initiatives to improve patient care, clinical outcomes, and overall service delivery.
- Contribute to internal audits, quality reviews, and patient satisfaction assessments.

### Qualifications:
- Education:
- MD or equivalent in Medicine , with specialization in Oncology (Clinical Oncology, Medical Oncology, Surgical Oncology, or Radiation Oncology).
- Board certification in Oncology is preferred.
- Licensing:
- Valid and active medical license to practice as an oncologist in Kerala.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in clinical oncology, with a strong background in diagnosis, treatment planning, and patient management.
- Experience in managing a broad range of cancers, including solid tumors, hematologic malignancies, and complex cancer cases.
- Experience in an outpatient or hospital setting, preferably in a cancer care center, is highly preferred.
- Skills and Attributes:
- Expertise in cancer diagnosis, staging, and treatment modalities (chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, etc.).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to discuss complex medical information in an accessible and compassionate manner.
