Medical Officer is a full time key leadership role responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the diagnostic center's operations. This includes strategic planning, daily operations management, staff recruitment and development, marketing initiatives, and facility management. The individual in this role will play a crucial part in ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the diagnostic center, while maintaining high-quality services and patient satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Strategic Planning : Setting up new diagnostic center, focusing on Pathology.
2. Daily Operations Management:
Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the diagnostic center, ensuring smooth and efficient workflows.
Monitor and evaluate operational processes, making necessary adjustments to improve efficiency, quality, and patient experience.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
3. Staff Recruitment and Development:
Lead the recruitment, selection, and onboarding process for qualified staff, including medical professionals, administrative personnel, and technical staff.
Provide coaching, mentorship, and training opportunities to ensure staff competency, performance, and professional growth.
Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and open communication among the center's staff.
4. Marketing and Business Development:
Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the diagnostic center's services to the target audience
5. Facility Management:
Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the diagnostic center's physical facility and equipment.
Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients and staff.
Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely repairs and upgrades when needed.
6. Financial Management:
Work with the finance department to develop and manage the diagnostic center's budget, ensuring financial sustainability.
Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and make informed decisions to optimize revenue and control costs.
7. Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure that the diagnostic center operates in accordance with relevant regulatory and accreditation standards.
Implement and maintain policies and procedures that meet legal and quality requirements.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
Proven experience in healthcare administration, including a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role within a diagnostic center or healthcare facility.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage operations, staff, and budgets effectively.
Proficiency in strategic planning, marketing, and business development.
Familiarity with healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Strong business acumen and customer-focused mindset.
