:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Medical Microbiology Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing microbiological tests to identify pathogens and help guide treatment decisions. This role requires expertise in microbiological techniques, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining high laboratory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct microbiological tests on clinical specimens, including blood, urine, and swabs, to identify bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites.
• Perform culture, isolation, and identification of microorganisms using aseptic techniques and specialized laboratory equipment.
• Perform antimicrobial susceptibility testing to determine the most effective antibiotics for treatment.
• Prepare and analyze specimens using staining, microscopy, and biochemical assays.
• Maintain accurate records of test results, including documentation in laboratory information systems (LIS).
• Adhere to quality control and quality assurance procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols in handling infectious agents and biohazardous materials.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret test results and provide timely and accurate information for patient care.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Microbiology
• Minimum 5 years of experience
• Preferably holds MOH Oman license
• Prometric/Pearson Vue Passed
• Dataflow completed

Pay: ?30,000.00 per month
