Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join our healthcare facility. The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (BSc MLT) and have at least 3 years of practical experience in a clinical laboratory setting. The MLT will perform a variety of routine and specialized diagnostic medical tests on patient specimens, and will be responsible for accurate documentation of test results and maintaining laboratory equipment. This role requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform laboratory tests in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Analyze and report accurate and timely test results to healthcare providers.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality control procedures.
• Maintain laboratory inventory and order supplies as needed.
• Assist in the training and supervision of laboratory assistants and other support staff.
• Participate in continuing education and training programs to stay current with advancements in the field.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (BSc MLT) or related field.
• Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working as an MLT in a clinical laboratory setting.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory testing methodologies and procedures.
• Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and computerized systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently under pressure.
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards for clinical laboratories.
• Experience with quality assurance and quality control processes.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues related to laboratory equipment.

Pay: ?15,000.00 - ?25,000.00 per month
