Job Title: Medical Coder

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and certified Medical Coder to join our healthcare team. The Medical Coder will be responsible for translating medical records and procedures into standardized codes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with healthcare regulations and billing practices. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding systems, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Code Assignment : Review and analyze patient medical records, assign accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services.

Documentation Review : Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate and complete documentation for coding purposes.

Regulatory Compliance : Ensure coding practices adhere to federal regulations (e.g., HIPAA), payer policies, and other compliance standards.

Billing Support : Assist in resolving coding-related billing issues to ensure timely reimbursement from insurance providers.

Quality Assurance : Perform routine audits to verify coding accuracy and identify opportunities for process improvement.

Data Management : Maintain records of coding activities and reports in compliance with organizational standards.

Education : Provide ongoing training to healthcare staff about coding updates and best practices as needed.

QualificationsEducation and Certification

High School Diploma or equivalent (required).

Certification in Medical Coding, such as CPC, CCA, CCS, or equivalent (required).

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or related field .

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?20,000.00 - ?30,000.00 per month
