We are seeking a passionate and experienced Medical Coding Trainer to join our team and help shape the next generation of Medical Coding professionals.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Medical Coding Trainer to educate and guide aspiring medical coders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical coding practices, including CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems. As a trainer, you will be responsible for delivering engaging training sessions, both theoretical and practical, ensuring students gain a comprehensive understanding of medical coding standards, compliance regulations, and coding software tools. You will also assess trainees' progress through assignments, exams, and practical coding exercises, providing feedback and support as they prepare for certification exams such as CPC, COC, or CCS.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs in Medical Coding, including ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
• Prepare and maintain course materials, including syllabus, lesson plans, and assessments.
• Provide hands-on training and real-world examples to help students understand and apply coding principles.
• Monitor student progress, provide feedback, and offer additional support as needed.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and coding guidelines to ensure curriculum relevance.
• Assist in the evaluation and improvement of training programs based on student feedback and industry needs.
• Support students in obtaining relevant certifications and career placement opportunities.
• Conduct interactive training sessions on medical coding systems and industry best practices.
• Prepare training materials, presentations, and practical coding assignments.
• Mentor and guide students, addressing their queries and challenges.
• Evaluate students' performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Stay updated with changes in coding regulations and healthcare guidelines.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in medical coding and/or medical billing.
• Prior experience as a trainer or educator is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to engage and motivate students with diverse backgrounds and learning styles.
• Proficiency in using training tools and technologies.
• Certification in medical coding (CPC, CCS, COC, or equivalent).
• Proven experience in medical coding and training.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to explain complex concepts in an easy-to-understand manner.
