Position Overview: We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Medical Coding Trainer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical coding, certification (such as CPC, CCS, or CCA), and a proven ability to teach and mentor aspiring coders. This role involves developing training materials, delivering engaging training sessions, and ensuring students gain the skills needed to succeed in the medical coding field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Curriculum Development: Create and update training materials, including presentations, manuals, and online resources, tailored to various learning styles and skill levels.
• Training Delivery: Conduct engaging classroom and virtual training sessions on medical coding principles, coding systems (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS), and compliance regulations.
• Assessment and Evaluation: Develop and administer assessments to evaluate student knowledge and understanding, providing constructive feedback and support for improvement.
• Mentorship: Offer one-on-one guidance and support to students, helping them navigate challenges and enhance their coding skills.
• Industry Updates: Stay current with changes in coding regulations, policies, and technologies to ensure training content is relevant and up-to-date.
• Collaboration: Work with healthcare organizations to align training programs with industry needs and standards.
• Performance Tracking: Monitor student progress and provide reports on performance to stakeholders, identifying areas for enhancement in the training program.
• Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and coding knowledge.

Qualifications:

• Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or Certified Coding Associate (CCA) is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical coding.
• Previous experience in teaching or training, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and coding software/tools.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Familiarity with healthcare compliance and regulations.
• Experience with online training platforms.

Working Conditions:

• This position may require occasional travel for onsite training sessions or conferences.
• Flexibility in working hours, including evenings or weekends, may be needed based on student availability.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?30,000.00 - ?45,000.00 per month
