Job Purpose:
The Breast Clinic Camp Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing breast health camps. This includes coordinating logistics, collaborating with healthcare providers, ensuring patient flow, and promoting the camp to increase awareness and attendance. The role aims to provide women with access to breast health education, early screening for breast cancer, and connection to treatment options.
Key Responsibilities:
Camp Planning & Logistics:
• Plan the logistics of breast health camps, including selecting suitable locations, scheduling dates, and ensuring the availability of required equipment and materials (mammogram machines, screening tools, etc.).
• Coordinate with vendors, medical professionals, and volunteers to ensure all arrangements are in place for a smooth operation.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during the camp.
Partnership & Collaboration:
• Liaise with healthcare providers, oncologists, radiologists, and other specialists to secure their participation in the camp.
• Establish partnerships with local organizations, hospitals, NGOs, and health authorities to promote and support the camp.
Patient Coordination & Screening
• Manage patient registration and screening processes during the camp.
• Ensure smooth patient flow from registration to consultation, screening, and follow-up.
• Monitor and track patient progress and ensure follow-up for any positive cases requiring further medical care.
Awareness & Promotion:
• Design and implement awareness campaigns to promote the camp, leveraging both traditional media (flyers, posters, community outreach) and digital channels (social media, websites).
• Conduct educational sessions about breast health, the importance of early screening, and the steps for self-examination.
Volunteer & Staff Management:
• Recruit, train, and manage volunteers and support staff for the camp.
• Assign roles and ensure that everyone understands their responsibilities for the day.
Data Management & Reporting:
• Collect and record patient data, including screenings, diagnoses, and referrals, ensuring privacy and confidentiality.
• Prepare detailed reports on camp outcomes, patient statistics, and any identified follow-up cases for management review.
Fundraising & Budgeting:
• Assist in budgeting for the camp, managing costs, and ensuring funds are appropriately allocated for various needs.
• Support fundraising initiatives to secure financial support for future camps.
Feedback & Improvement:
• Collect feedback from participants, volunteers, and medical staff to improve future camps.
• Identify areas of improvement in patient care, screening accuracy, and logistical arrangements.
