Designation: Media Planner Job Location: Mumbai Department: Operations Direct Reporting To: Operation Head We are looking for a Media Planner to shape effective advertising campaigns. Your goal will be to optimize media marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness and help achieve business goals Responsibilities: In your role as media planner, you\'ll work within advertising agencies or media planning and buying agencies, with the aim of maximizing the impact of advertising campaigns through a range of media platforms You\'ll use creative thinking and research to develop appropriate strategies to ensure that campaigns reach their target audiences as effectively as possible You\'ll apply knowledge of media and communication platforms to identify the most appropriate mediums for building awareness of a client\'s brand Your goal will be to optimize media marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness and help achieve business goals Collect and analyses market data, identify target audiences and understand their behavior and habits Optimize ad campaigns according to geographic exposure, frequency, time spans etc Determining the most suitable media mix given the nature of each client\'s business, budget and preferred advertising media Undertake research and analyze data using specialist industry resources Identify target audiences and analyze their characteristics, behavior and media habits Present proposals, including media, cost, schedules, etc to clients Recommend the most appropriate types of media to use, as well as the most effective time spans and locations Researching and evaluating market data, negotiating at the right price as per market rate Ensuring that advertising messages align with client or company objectives Requisite Skills: Should have a commercial flair, good interpersonal, negotiation, communication & multitasking skills, for liaising with colleagues, clients and media owners Proven Experience as a Media Planner or similar role Exceptional presentation skills & must be able to work well within a team Should be a skilled communicator and decision-maker who can collaborate well with various teams Knowledge of market research and a willingness to follow media trends are essential Broad knowledge of media channels & familiarity with campaign evaluation metrics and media buying An analytical mind and creative eye, and proficiency with numbers, for data analysis and negotiations A good grasp of literacy, for writing reports and presentations Strong analytical and organizational skills Skillful in computer operations & capacity to work effectively under pressure Qualification: Expertise / Experience in Advertising, Marketing, Communication and media studies, Business or management, English and journalism, etc
