Job Description

We are seeking a skilled & experienced Mechanical Technician with ITI training and hands-on experience in metal cutting, bending, welding, and drilling to join our team. The ideal candidate will have practical knowledge of mechanical assembly, maintenance, and troubleshooting of industrial machinery. This role requires proficiency in using mechanical tools and equipment, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

• Metal Fabrication and Assembly:
• Perform metal cutting, bending, welding, and drilling operations to fabricate components and assemblies.
• Ensure accurate measurements, angles, and specifications are met during fabrication processes.
• Mechanical Assembly and Installation:
• Assemble and install mechanical components and systems according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Conduct alignment, fitting, and integration of mechanical parts.
• Maintenance and Repair:
• Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure machinery operates efficiently.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and conduct repairs to minimize downtime.
• Operational Support:
• Assist in the setup, testing, and adjustment of machinery to verify functionality and performance.
• Monitor equipment during operation and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment inspections.
• Report any issues or concerns regarding equipment performance or safety.
• Adherence to Safety Standards:
• Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols while performing mechanical tasks.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Education and Training:
• ITI certification in Mechanical Trade or equivalent vocational training.
• Additional certifications or courses in metal fabrication and welding are desirable.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Mechanical Technician, with proficiency in metal cutting, bending, welding, and drilling.
• Experience in mechanical assembly, maintenance, and repair in an industrial setting.
• Skills:
• Strong mechanical aptitude and technical skills in metal fabrication techniques.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical manuals.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, components, and materials.
• Personal Attributes:
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy in workmanship.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively.
• Team player with good communication skills and a collaborative attitude.

Work Environment:

• This position involves working in a manufacturing plant, production floor, or workshop environment.
• Ability to work flexible hours and occasional overtime as needed.
