Job Description

As a Mechanical Technician for Port Operations, your responsibilities include:

• Conducting routine maintenance on machinery, equipment, and vehicles used in port operations.
• Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical issues as they arise to minimize downtime.
• Inspecting and servicing hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and other mechanical components.
• Collaborating with the maintenance team to ensure all equipment is in optimal working condition.
• Following safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Keeping accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed.
• Assisting in the installation of new machinery and equipment.
• Identifying areas for improvement in maintenance processes and suggesting solutions.
• Training junior technicians on proper maintenance procedures and techniques.
• Adhering to environmental regulations related to the operation and maintenance of equipment.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering is a plus.
• Proven experience as a Mechanical Technician or similar role in an industrial or port setting.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and engines.
• Ability to read technical manuals and drawings.
• Proficiency in using tools and equipment for maintenance and repair work.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and a willingness to work in a team environment.
• Physical strength and stamina to handle the demands of the job.
• Willingness to work in various weather conditions and irregular hours when necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?300,000.00 - ?450,000.00 per year
