Reporting to the MEP Manager, responsible for day-to-day site activities inspection and monitoring. Part of the construction team in a client-facing, project management consultancy role. Your responsibilities will include: Reporting to MEP Manager, responsible for day-to-day MEP activities. Reviewing plans and specifications according to the plan. Preparing installation strategies for plumbing, heating, ventilating, air conditioning and general piping system. Conducting inspections of completed MEP works and providing technical support to Architects, Designers regarding installation and maintenance of MEP System. Evaluating HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Fighting related problems and formulating solutions. Identifying problems in the design, planning, and able to challenge the designers. Evaluating the work of consultants, contractors, and others. Preparing and delivering effective oral presentations whenever required. Advising the Line Manager of any technical aspects of the mechanical services that may affect construction progress, e.g. quality or snag. Reviewing the contractor\'s construction schedule during the progress of the site works with regards to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing services and reporting to the Line Manager on the same. Managing day-to-day work of the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing team. Ensuring the logging of the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing documentation is undertaken in line with the project handbook and continually monitoring the same. Advising on all issues regarding LEED and ensuring the appropriate documentation and information is provided to the appropriate authorities to obtain the LEED standard required for the project. Taking part in risk workshops and reporting any risks associated with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installations or general projects to the project director. Reviewing the contractor\'s installation method statements. Reviewing contractor\'s shop drawings against the design [tender] drawings for compliance with the design intent and returning to Line Manager with appropriate comments/approval within the specified contractual period. Reviewing contractor\'s mechanical shop drawing in conjunction with the structural and electrical engineers to ensuring engineer\'s coordination and advising the design coordinator/line manager accordingly. Reviewing contractor\'s mechanical services material proposals against specified technical performance requirements and advising the project director on the appropriateness of the proposals. Reviewing the contractor\'s proposed subcontractor(s) associated with the engineering works from a technical standpoint. Undertaking general project site observation/inspection of the mechanical services works for contractor\'s adherence to the approved shop drawings and consultant\'s specification, good working practices, and construction schedule. Monitoring and promoting health and safety on the site. Recording and reporting any breaches to the project manager, stopping the construction works if unsafe practices are being followed. Being available to undertake off-site inspections of proposed equipment and materials as may be deemed necessary by the project manager. Undertaking a prior review of the contractor\'s proposed mechanical system testing & commissioning methods and schedule. Being witnessed on-site piped system pressure test, air conditioning duct leakage testing, and another testing that may be required during the first fix works and advising the project director accordingly. Being witness to mechanical system final testing and commissioning. Reviewing and commenting on the contractor\'s testing and commissioning results and advising the project director accordingly. Maintaining an ongoing list of mechanical services defects for the contractor\'s remedial action. Undertaking final project snagging and preparing a list of defects for the contractor\'s action. Attending project, site progress, and any mechanical services-related technical meetings as directed by the project manager. Preparing draft for engineer\'s instructions, relating to the building mechanical services, as required and issuing to the project manager. Supporting project QS in contractor\'s bill certification. Providing advice to the Line Manager in regard to any mechanical services related to variable costs that may be claimed by the contractor during the course of the works. Reviewing and commenting on the contractor\'s operation and maintenance manuals. About you You will have a degree qualification in mechanical engineering and be a member of a professional body. You have experience as an engineer including high & low side MEP works for SEZ and IT parks / campus projects. You are digitally savvy can build lasting client relationships and provide support to strong, motivated teams. You will have experience delivering projects from start through to completion within a consultancy industry and be poised to expand your own horizons, those of our clients and of our ambitious people alike.
