Clean Electric is a Series A funded battery tech company focused on designing and manufacturing advanced li-ion batteries for EVs and energy storage applications which enable 12-min rapid charging, long life and unrivalled safety. We are pushing the boundaries of the EV industry with our Direct Contact Liquid Cooling (DCLC) thermal management, integrated cell-to-pack (CTP) architecture, and proprietary dynamic charging algorithms running on a custom-engineered in-house battery management system.

Founded in 2020 by IIT-BHU graduates Akash Gupta, Abhinav Roy and Ankit Joshi, we are today rapidly scaling and deploying our tech across 2W and 3W segments with plans to enter 4W and commercial vehicles as well. Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Prototyping team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design, prototyping, and testing, with a passion for developing cutting-edge technologies in the clean energy space. As part of our dynamic team, you will play a key role in transforming concepts into functional prototypes and ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of performance and reliability.

Role Description and Key Responsibilities

The role involves tasks including but not limited to -

• Battery Pack Mechanical Assembly: Assemble mechanical components for battery packs, including enclosures, mounts, and thermal management systems. Ensure the integrity and functionality of battery packs through meticulous assembly and testing.
• Design and Testing: Conduct engineering analyses and simulations to validate designs. Perform hands-on testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve design issues.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, product owners, and SCM team to integrate mechanical systems with other components and ensure seamless operation.
• Documentation: Prepare detailed documentation for prototypes, including design specifications, testing procedures, and analysis reports. Ensure that all design changes are well-documented and communicated to relevant stakeholders.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for design improvements and process optimizations. Stay updated with the latest advancements in mechanical engineering and prototyping technologies.

Desired Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma/ITI in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in mechanical assembly and prototyping, preferably in the clean energy or high-tech industry.

Desired Skills and Attributes

• Strong proficiency in mechanical design and analysis.
• Hands-on experience with prototyping techniques and tools.
• Experience with battery pack mechanical assembly and related systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
• Familiarity with testing and validation procedures for mechanical systems.
• Innovative mindset with a passion for sustainability and clean energy.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Enthusiastic and proactive with a drive for continuous learning and improvement

Location: Near Chakan, Pune, India (on-site)

Pay and Benefits: Competitive and above market standard pay, will be evaluated based on profile and skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?300,000.00 - ?400,000.00 per year
