Our systems clean the air and protect the planet through the delivery of NOx abatement systems for a wide range of power plants and stationary industrial processes. We develop and supply equipment for cleaning exhaust gases from industrial plants and support Yara in implementing decarbonization, efficiency enhancement and optimization projects.The YARA Environmental Technologies unit has the stability and security that comes from being part of a major international corporation, while offering opportunities to experience a variety of plant engineering tasks in an agile team. This "Stationary" unit within Yara Industrial Solutions global function employs around 100 people in Austria, China/Taiwan, Germany, India and Poland.To support our team in Mumbai and Pune, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Mechanical / Process Engineer.Responsibilities

  • Assist Sales and Marketing by carrying out process calculations at contract stage
  • Prepare Budget BOM
  • Conceptualize P&IDs, Layout, PFDs and direct draftsman in preparing the same (Assigning line numbers, tag numbers for valves, instruments, rotary and static equipment etc)
  • Perform Mechanical/process calculations for SCR and SNCR systems for Cement captive boilers / Boilers / Heaters
  • Prepare BOM/MTO/BOQs, specifications for valves, relief valves, pumps (unloading, dosing, sump) compressors (reciprocating), storage tank, dilution tank, vaporizer, Dykes, Retaining Basin including hydraulic and thermal sizing
  • Sizing of fans/blowers/centrifugal/positive displacement pumps by determining required flow rates and head.
  • Preparation of O&M manual, control philosophy, design & sizing philosophy, functional description, Line List, Utility List, Terminal point list, Valve List and other standard deliverables as part of DCI
  • Provide inputs to Instrumentation and Electrical Team such as min/normal/max flow-pressure temperature, design parameters and determine min and max range for instruments such as PG,PT LG, LT, NH3 sensors, Flowmeters etc..
  • Thorough understanding of PMS, VMS, Structural, Painting, Insulation, Rotating equipment specifications.
  • Ensure timely delivery of all documents, on time release of bought out specifications and review of vendor quotations

Profile
  • Bachelor of Engineering -Mechanical/ Bachelor of Engineering -Chemical
  • 10-11years of work experience preferably from Boiler Industry and Power Industry
  • Conversant with design codes -ASME /ANSI /IS /PESO
  • Good communication skills, Effective collaboration with team members, Problem solving ability
Experience of the below shall be of added advantage -
  • Worked previously on Anhydrous Ammonia handling systems (unloading, storage, conditioning) for Thermal Power Plants (
