Key Responsibilities:

• Maintenance and Repair:
• Perform routine maintenance on mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical failures in a timely and efficient manner.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize equipment breakdowns.
• Troubleshooting:
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues using appropriate diagnostic tools and techniques.
• Implement solutions to prevent recurring problems and improve equipment reliability.
• Installation and Upgrades:
• Assist in the installation of new machinery and equipment.
• Recommend and implement upgrades to existing mechanical systems to enhance performance and safety.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and time spent.
• Prepare detailed reports on equipment status, maintenance work, and any observed issues.
• Safety and Compliance:
• Ensure all maintenance activities are conducted in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Participate in safety training and contribute to a safe working environment.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with production teams to schedule maintenance without disrupting operations.
• Collaborate with other engineers and maintenance personnel to develop and implement maintenance strategies.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience:
• 2-5 years of relevant experience in mechanical maintenance within the steel/metal industry.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and conveyor systems.
• Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is a plus.
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment as required.
• Willingness to work in a physically demanding industrial environment.
