• Is responsible for the Delivery of a Train/Vehicle Fittings, Installation & Integration Engineering outputs in compliance with the Engineering QCD commitments.
• Leads his work package reviews for the project he/she is in charge,
• Identifies and highlights road block, risks and offers suitable practical solutions to engineering problems
• Contributes to the vehicle/train physical architecture taking into account in weight, layout and structural constraints.
• Organizes Design / Verification reviews and provides the associated reports.
• Provides Technical Solution, identifies gaps on application part and Product part in accordance with standards
• Conduct self and team’s internal quality checks and ensure the accuracy and consistency all across deliveries.
• Clarify all technical doubts related to the project in consultation with internal and customer discipline chiefs
• Contributes to turn backs and RCAs
• Articulate thought process well in individual meetings as well as larger team meetings, and in dealings with related stakeholders - internal customers and fellow team members
• Share knowledge and mentor junior engineers on Tools, Standard work, domain knowledge
• 6- 9 years of experience required.

Required Skills:

• Experience in product development environment of a vehicle/equipment/ rail rolling stock industry
• Ability to compute& represent mass, CG of vehicle.
• Good knowledge of GDT&T using relevant standards ASME , DIN, EN, ISO in 2D detailed drawings
• Ability to integrate manufacturing requirements in the design & perform dimensional stack up
• Hands-on Experience in CREO handling 3D and 2D data for modeling and detailing of parts, assemblies and installations for sheet metal, Casting & Forgings. Exposure to PLM tools like Enovia
• Knowledge of materials & mechanical characteristics,
• Able to understand product costs on a technical solution
• Able to evaluate accessibility & define the most suitable design according to the assembly criticality.
• Basic knowledge of electro-mechanical parts.
• Basic knowledge of key criteria (pressure, flow, temperature, pressure drop, ...) for creating piping and tubing design.
• Good knowledge of main assembly components used (fasteners, shock absorbers, suspensions).
• Able to define a fastener and joint solution.
• Good knowledge of sheet metal design & fabrication
