We are currently seeking experienced Fitters to join our team at a pharmaceutical machinery manufacturing company. As a Fitter, you will play a crucial role in the assembly, installation, and maintenance of machinery used in pharmaceutical production facilities. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in mechanical fitting and assembly, particularly in the pharmaceutical industry. Responsibilities: Assemble and fit together components and parts according to engineering drawings and specifications to construct pharmaceutical machinery and equipment. Perform precision fitting and alignment of parts to ensure smooth operation and functionality of machinery. Install and commission machinery at customer sites, ensuring proper setup and functioning in accordance with specifications. Conduct inspections and quality control checks during the assembly process to identify and rectify any defects or discrepancies. Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform repairs or adjustments to machinery as needed to maintain optimal performance. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve design or manufacturing issues and improve product quality and efficiency. Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including assembly processes, component inventory, and maintenance activities. Assist in the training and development of junior fitters and apprentices as needed. Requirements: Proven experience as a Fitter, with a strong background in mechanical assembly and fitting, preferably in the pharmaceutical machinery manufacturing industry. Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues independently. Familiarity with a variety of hand and power tools used in mechanical assembly and fitting. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in workmanship, with a commitment to producing high-quality products. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Physical stamina and ability to lift and maneuver heavy machinery and components. Willingness to travel occasionally for installation and commissioning projects at customer sites. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and customers.
