: Fitter - Mechanical

Job Summary:

An ITI Fitter is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems and equipment in industrial settings. The role involves reading blueprints, fitting, assembling, and repairing various machines, structures, and parts. The candidate should have strong technical skills and experience working with mechanical tools, ensuring high safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation and Assembly:
• Assemble and fit mechanical components and systems such as pumps, valves, motors, conveyors, etc.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical diagrams to execute fitting tasks.
• Align and position parts and sub-assemblies using hand tools and measuring instruments.
• Maintenance and Repairs:
• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical systems and equipment.
• Replace defective parts, machine components, and fixtures, ensuring proper functioning.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Inspection and Testing:
• Inspect mechanical equipment to identify potential issues, wear, and tear.
• Conduct performance tests and check machinery for alignment, safety, and optimal operation.
• Welding and Fabrication:
• Perform basic welding and fabrication tasks for repairs or installations when required.
• Ensure that all fabrication and installation work meets safety and quality standards.
• Safety and Compliance:
• Follow safety procedures, work instructions, and company policies during installation, maintenance, and repair work.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure a safe working environment.
• Documentation:
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including completed maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
• Report any major faults or breakdowns to supervisors and provide recommendations for corrective actions.

Qualifications:

• Education: ITI (Industrial Training Institute) Fitter Certification or equivalent.
• Experience: 2+ years of experience as an ITI Fitter in a manufacturing or industrial setting is preferred. Fresher also welcome, Training will be given.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficient in using mechanical tools, measuring instruments, and equipment.
• Knowledge of fitting techniques, mechanical systems, welding, and fabrication.
• Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ?10,000.00 - ?20,000.00 per month
