Job Summary :
The Molded Fitter is responsible for assembling, installing, maintaining, and repairing moulds used in production processes. This includes ensuring the proper alignment and functioning of moulds, conducting regular maintenance, and troubleshooting issues to ensure seamless operations in the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities :
• Mould Assembly and Fitting :
• Assemble, fit, and install moulds as per technical drawings and specifications.
• Ensure the precise alignment and fitting of mould components to meet production standards.
• Mould Maintenance :
• Inspect and maintain moulds to ensure they are in proper working condition.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to avoid production downtime.
• Repair worn or damaged moulds, including polishing, grinding, and reassembling.
• Troubleshooting and Repairs :
• Diagnose issues with mould performance and implement timely repairs.
• Replace faulty parts, springs, or other mould components.
• Machine Interaction :
• Operate and adjust moulding machines to ensure proper mould installation and function.
• Work closely with machine operators to address any mould-related issues during production.
• Quality Control :
• Ensure that fitted and repaired moulds meet quality standards.
• Test mould functionality after maintenance or assembly to ensure proper operation.
• Safety Compliance :
• Adhere to all safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Follow guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
• Documentation and Reporting :
• Maintain accurate records of mould maintenance, repairs, and replacements.
• Report issues, completed tasks, and material requirements to the supervisor.
Qualifications and Requirements :
• Education : ITI/Diploma in Tool and Die Making, Mould Technology, or a related field.
• Experience :
• 2+ years of experience in mould fitting, maintenance, or repair in a manufacturing environment.
• Fresh candidates with ITI certification may be considered for junior roles.
• Skills :
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
• Knowledge of mould assembly, disassembly, and repair techniques.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment.
• Physical Fitness : Ability to lift and handle heavy mould components safely.
