Role - Mechanical Fabricator - UPVC

Key Responsibilities:

• Fabrication and Assembly:
• Fabricate and assemble UPVC doors, windows, frames, and piping systems based on technical drawings and job specifications.
• Operate cutting, drilling, and welding machines designed for UPVC materials to create precise components.
• Ensure that all UPVC components are properly aligned, measured, and fitted according to design plans.
• Cutting and Shaping:
• Use specialized tools (UPVC cutting machines, saws, and routers) to accurately cut UPVC profiles and sheets.
• Shape and finish UPVC components, ensuring smooth edges, proper dimensions, and alignment.
• Installation:
• Install fabricated UPVC products such as windows, doors, and piping at the job site, ensuring proper fit and sealing.
• Ensure that installed products are aligned correctly, airtight, and weatherproof.
• Welding and Joining:
• Use UPVC welding machines to join parts and fittings, ensuring seamless, durable, and watertight joints.
• Apply adhesives and sealants where required to reinforce joints and prevent leakage.
• Quality Control:
• Inspect finished UPVC products for defects, ensuring they meet quality standards and customer requirements.
• Test fabricated components for fit, function, and durability before final installation.
• Maintenance:
• Perform routine maintenance on UPVC fabrication equipment, ensuring that tools are in good working condition.
• Troubleshoot and repair minor issues with machinery and tools.
• Safety and Compliance:
• Follow industry safety guidelines, including proper handling and disposal of UPVC materials.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and standards related to UPVC fabrication and installation.

Qualifications:

• B.E in Mechanical Engineering
• Proven experience in fabricating UPVC products (doors, windows, piping systems, etc.).
• Knowledge of UPVC materials, including properties, cutting methods, and fabrication processes.
• Proficiency in using UPVC welding machines, cutting tools, and other fabrication equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and design drawings.

Skills:

• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
• Ability to work with hand tools and machinery designed for UPVC fabrication.
• Excellent measurement and precision skills.
• Ability to follow technical instructions and meet deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and communication skills.

Work Environment:

• Primarily shop-based work, with occasional site visits for installation.
• Handling of UPVC materials, which are lightweight but may require careful manipulation during fabrication.
• Exposure to fabrication machinery, requiring the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Experience:

• 10 years of experience in UPVC fabrication or related fields.
• Experience in installing UPVC products (such as windows, doors, or piping systems) is preferred.

Salary - 30k to 40k

Work location will be in Chennai / Dindugal
