Position Title: Mechanical Engineer

Location: Pilkhuwa (Hapur) / Greater Noida

Reports To: Maintenance Head / Plant Head

Job Summary: The Utility Engineer will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and efficient operation of all utility equipment, viz., ETP, Boilers, Thermopac, Compressor, and Water Distribution Systems, etc, at the Pilkhuwa plant. The role requires a qualified mechanical engineer with significant experience managing complex machinery in a textile manufacturing environment. The Utility Engineer will ensure that all equipment operates safely, reliably, and efficiently to meet production targets and maintain high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance, Repair & Operation

• Execution & Implementation of ETP Project, Boiler, Thermopac, Compressor, Water Distribution System etc
• Design calculation for the utility requirements for the Fabric Processing Plant.
• Operation and maintenance of Boiler & Thermopac
• Operation & Maintenance of water distribution system.
• Operation & maintenance of ETP/ZLD/MEE.
• Operation & maintenance of Vapor Absorption Machine.
• Operation & Maintenance of RO (Reverse Osmosis System)
• Complete Responsibility for Preventive & Breakdown maintenance of the pump house & ETP system.
• Mechanical/Utilities--Exploration and implementation of energy conservation activities in the areas of Steam, Compressed Air, Power, Air Compressors, etc. Hands-on experience in Maintenance techniques for various mechanical machine parts, viz rollers, pumps, gearbox, oil, and lubricants. Machinery installation and start-up in close coordination with Vendors and experts. Managing day-to-day breakdowns.
• Project Planning - Detailed Analysis, Technology Selection, planning, and timely execution.
• Shop Floor Management/Audits/ Improvement Activities - Good exposure to all these day-to-day activities.
• Energy Conservation--Identifying and implementing the measures in all above areas through internal systems, external audits, etc.
• Ensure the environmental compliance & Liasoning with the UPPCB, CPCB, CGWA & pollution control authorities.
• Ensure the air emission & discharge water parameters under the permissible limit Top of Form

Operational Efficiency:

• Optimize the performance of all machinery to ensure maximum efficiency and output.
• Implement improvements and upgrades to machinery and equipment to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.

Safety and Compliance:

• Ensure all machines comply with safety regulations and standards.
• Conduct safety checks and risk assessments, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Provide training to operators and maintenance staff on safe machine operation and emergency procedures.

Technical Support:

• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machines and equipment.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to production teams.
• Collaborate with equipment manufacturers and suppliers for technical support and spare parts procurement.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
• Prepare and present reports on machine performance, maintenance schedules, and repair costs to management.
• Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for machine operation and maintenance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance, repair, and operations of Utility Equipment in a large manufacturing environment. Experience in Textile Mills/Fabric Processing Mills is highly preferable.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues promptly.
• Excellent understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
