We are part of the Tunnels and Underground Structures department, consisting of more than 600 enthusiastic colleagues working from India, Denmark, UK and North America. We have a proven history of making underground tunnels, metros, immersed tunnels, shafts and pumping stations. COWI\'s Underground structures team is rapidly growing and that is why we are looking for a Mechanical Engineer - MEP.
Your key responsibilities will be:

• Contributing towards the design of projects for a wide range of clients
• Planning design work and deliverables together with wider MEP team
• Development and technical assurance of design including use of relevant software
• Ensuring compliance with both local and international standards
• Coordination of multi-disciplinary aspects of projects
• Mentoring junior team members in design
• Contributing to the building of relationships with clients and other stakeholders

• A degree in mechanical engineering or similar
• Professional certification (or equivalent) is desirable
• Relevant experience of 2-5 years within mechanical systems design
• The ability to perform ventilation calculations (normal & emergency), heat load analysis (hands on experience in HAP software), pressure drop calculation, pipe and ductwork design, selecting suitable HVAC equipment etc
• Exposure to collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of HVAC systems within the overall project design.
• Knowledge of accurate documentation of the HVAC system designs, design manuals, calculations, specifications, technical reports as per applicable codes 7 standards
• Experience with 3D, Navisworks and BIM design
• Knowledge of relevant Environmental Control System (ECS) & Tunnel Ventilation System (TVS) would be preferable
• Experience of applying CDM2015 regulations to design tasks is desirable
• Experience of design and build projects would be beneficial
