Then, this could be the next adventure in your career.Join our MEP - Tunnels and Underground Structures team in GurgaonWe are the Tunnels and Underground Structures (TUS) department, under COWI\'s Business Line International, consisting of more than 180 people based in India. We have our clients and projects spread across Scandinavia, Singapore, North America, the UK and Iceland locations. We have a proven track record of delivering detailed designs of underground metro stations, tunnels, and shafts. We embrace cultural diversity and highly value our social and friendly environment. COWI\'s TUS team is rapidly growing and that is why we are looking for a Senior Engineer-Mechanical.Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Contributing towards the design of projects for a wide range of clients
  • Planning design work and deliverables together with the wider MEP team
  • Development and technical assurance of design including the use of relevant software
  • Ensuring compliance with both local and international standards
  • Coordination of multi-disciplinary aspects of projects
  • Mentoring junior team members in design
  • Contributing to the building of relationships with clients and other stakeholders.

  • A degree in mechanical engineering or similar
  • Chartered Engineer status (or equivalent) is desirable
  • Relevant experience of at least 10 years in mechanical systems design
  • The ability to provide technically sound solutions alone and where required, acting as a discipline lead, involved in project management tasks- project planning, resource planning, monitoring project progress, and meeting quality standards
  • Hands-on experience in IES and HAP software to perform energy modeling/heat load estimation
  • Knowledge of Emergency ventilation- Stair/Lift/protected corridor pressurization, Smoke extraction system
  • Systems integration, coordination, and collaboration with other engineering disciplines and stakeholders to integrate the HVAC systems into the overall metro project
  • Exposure to value engineering, optimizing the energy efficiency and sustainability of the HVAC systems
  • Knowledge of accurate documentation of the HVAC system designs, calculations, specifications, technical reports, and any modifications
  • Experience with 3D, Navisworks, and BIM design
  • Knowledge of relevant Environmental Control Systems (ECS) & Tunnel Ventilation Systems (TVS), the experience of at least 5-7 years in metro projects
  • Experience in applying CDM2015 regulations to design tasks is desirable
  • Experience in designing and build projects would be beneficial
