Join us and help drive innovation and sustainability in our projects.The RoleAs a Mechanical Engineer with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etcxe2x80xa6.
Prepare technical specifications for mineral beneficiation equipment, including crushers, screens, mills, cyclones, flotation cells, sizers, thickeners, filter presses, material handling equipment, pumps, compressors, air receivers, dust suppression systems, dust extraction system, bag filters etc.
Conduct tender bid evaluations and independently review vendor drawings and documentation.
Collaborate with designers and draftsmen to develop plant layouts, plot plans, and general arrangement drawings.
Ensure compliance with national and international codes and standards, including ASME, API, BS, and EN.
Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of material science and its application in equipment selection and design.
Review 3D models using various 3D review software platforms, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
Hands-on experience of the Blast Furnace, Basic Oxygen Furnace, Electric Arc Furnace, Ladle Refining, Slab caster, Rolling Mill etc. will be an added advantage
Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
QualificationsAbout YouTo be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:
Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in mechanical engineering.
15 to 20 years of relevant experience in consultancy or EPC projects related to metal, mineral, or chemical processing.
Proven expertise in preparing technical specifications and reviewing vendor documentation.
Familiarity with 3D modeling and review software.
Strong understanding of material science and engineering codes/standards.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
