Job Description

The job holder will work from Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at our office in the building at Plat D13, Gallops Indsutrial Park, Changodar Area, Ahmedabad, Gujarat

Languages: English: Written and Spoken with professional proficiency.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Design (chemical, food processing and pharmaceutical machinery and equipment experience preferred).

Computer/Software Skills Required: Microsoft Word, Excel & Powerpoint; Typing: 55 WPM; Must be good at SOLIDWORKS, AUTO CAD, 3D Drawing for Mechanical Design and Drawing.

Travel: 1 - 5%

Job duties are as follows:

- Mechanical Conceptualization, Drawing and Professional Design Work using available software tools
- Identifying and qualifying new vendors of machinery/equipment, parts and raw materials, pursuant to the Company's guidelines and policies (first priority is actual manufacturers/factories, and then if manufacturer has its own trading or import/export company or exclusive agent, we will deal with such trading company or their exclusive agent) negotiating pricing, delivery and payment terms in the best interest of our company as a customer, monitoring vendors' performance, exercising problem solving skills;
- Contacting existing vendors (if requested by the Company); negotiating pricing, delivery and payment terms in the best interest of our company as a customer, monitoring vendors' performance, exercising problem solving skills;
- Expediting open orders, monitoring shipments and coordinating with our purchasing manager and other personnel of the Company with respect to anticipated requirements of materials and taking appropriate steps to ensure availability and uninterrupted supply of products to our customers;

- Coordinating with quality control personnel in regards to reporting and dealing with quality issues and packaging problems such as non-compliance with our quality and packaging standards, requesting and arranging return and replacement, withholding payment and seeking credit and compensation from vendors, demanding vendors to take corrective action, filing insurance claims if it is applicable and coordinating with insurance surveyors and claims adjusters, coordinating and cooperating with government regulatory agencies at the direction and under the guidance of the Company's management;

- Handling all other matters related to the supply chain issues as designated by the Company's management from time to time.

Minor: Research and Mechanical Sales Support :

Identifying and developing new, prospective customers in India for the Company's food, nutritional and pharmaceutical product lines;

Making phone calls, Skype and WhatsApp messaging, and mass emailing using our Company's email marketing engine - ConstantEmails.com

Developing, preparing and executing sales and marketing plans for the Company's specific products targeted for the India market; Producing sales presentations, proposals for Indian and foreign customers; Using available research tools to obtain and provide the management with information on competitors, market conditions, price changes and factors affecting supply and demand; Coordinating and interfacing between Indian customers and the Company's available resources such as supply chain, manufacturing/custom processing and technical personnel in order to provide value added services to Indian and foreign customers Documenting all activities relating to market research and sales efforts for record-keeping, quality assurance, training and operations improvement purposes.
