Thinvent is looking for Mechanical Design Engineers to develop products for the IT world. If you are interested in and capable of product design, this is the right job for you.


Qualification :


+ Freshers with bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with fluency in 2D, 3D software and knowledge of characteristics of material. Or,
+ Mechanical Diploma with 2 years of experience in design and had worked on some design projects in industry.

+ Your typical day will involve doing sheet metal and milled metal chassis design for HMI(Human Machine Interface), industrial computers, all-in-one computers and other IT Computer casing design.
+ You will be making different models for electronics and passive components in 3D.
+ You will then design enclosures around these chassis, keeping in mind simplicity and elegance of design, manufacturability, thermal and mechanical considerations, dust protection etc.
+ You will work with our vendors and production team to fabricate prototypes of your design, iterate, and see your designs all the way through mass production and field installation. You will have to do 3D.
+ You will be doing vendor development, finding right components by market research and making models accordingly which will be ergonomic and user friendly.



Required Skills :



+ Intimate familiarity with 3D design software such as Solidworks, Catia etc.
+ Having hands-on experience or Industrial training from renowned organisations in AutoCAD and Solidworks or similar software.
+ Solid understanding of sheet metal fabrication techniques such as punching, laser cutting, CNC bending, PEM insertion, powder coating, anodising etc.
+ Understanding of machine design, materials, strength of materials will be required.
+ Ability to work with mechanical fabrication vendors, for both prototyping and mass manufacturing.
+ Having knowledge of simulation software like Ansys, Solidworks simulation will be preferable.
+ Experience operating a laser cutting machine, CNC mil or 3D printer, and a CNC bending machine will be an advantage.
