Job Title: Engineer - Mechanical Design

Job Overview: The Mechanical Designer specializing in SolidCAM Software will be a

key member of our engineering and design team, responsible for using SolidCAM to

create, optimize, and implement precision machining processes for our projects. This

role requires a deep understanding of SolidCAM software, mechanical design

principles, and a passion for achieving the highest standards in manufacturing

excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

SolidCAM Programming:

Utilize SolidCAM software to create and optimize CNC programs for various machining processes, including milling, turning, and multi-axis machining.

Develop post-processors and tool libraries to improve efficiency and

accuracy in programming.

Ensure CNC programs are error-free and optimized for speed, precision, and quality.

Collaboration and Design Integration:

Work closely with design engineers to understand project requirements and translate 3D models into effective machining strategies.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of SolidCAM with other CAD/CAM systems and tools.

Provide expert advice and guidance on the manufacturability and efficiency of mechanical designs.

Toolpath Optimization:

Create and fine-tune toolpaths for CNC machining to maximize efficiency while maintaining high quality and precision.

Continuously analyze and improve toolpath strategies, taking into account machine capabilities and material properties.

Implement high-speed machining and other advanced techniques to enhance productivity.

Quality Assurance:

Perform rigorous testing and simulation to validate CNC programs and ensure that they meet quality standards.

Identify and resolve any issues or inefficiencies in the machining processes.

Conduct first-article inspections and implement corrective actions as needed

Documentation and Training:

Prepare comprehensive documentation, including work instructions, tool lists, and setup sheets.

Provide training and support to machine operators and other team members on the correct setup and operation of CNC machines.

Stay updated on the latest developments and best practices in SolidCAM software.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in mechanical design and CNC programming, with a strong emphasis on SolidCAM.

Proficiency in SolidWorks and other CAD software.

In-depth knowledge of CNC machining processes, tooling, and materials.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to optimize machining processes.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Adept at working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ?35,000.00 - ?50,000.00 per month
