Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Mathematics Teacher to join our team and inspire students in grades 6 through 9. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics and a commitment to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment. This role involves planning and delivering lessons that meet curriculum standards, assessing student progress, and supporting individual student needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Instruction and Curriculum Delivery:

Plan and deliver effective lessons that align with state and school curriculum standards.

Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles.

Integrate technology into the classroom to enhance learning experiences.

Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments.

Student Assessment and Support:

Assess student progress through regular assignments, tests, and exams.

Provide feedback to students and parents on academic performance.

Identify and address individual student needs, including providing extra support or enrichment as necessary.

Classroom Management:

Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order among students.

Implement effective classroom management strategies to foster a productive learning atmosphere.

Professional Development:

Stay current with developments in mathematics education and instructional techniques.

Participate in professional development opportunities and school meetings.

Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching practices and share resources.

Communication:

Maintain open lines of communication with students, parents, and colleagues.

Participate in parent-teacher conferences and provide regular updates on student progress.

Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support student learning and development.

Extracurricular Involvement:

Support and participate in school extracurricular activities, clubs, or events related to mathematics.

Encourage student participation in math-related competitions or activities.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's / Master's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.

Teaching certification/licensure for the relevant grade levels.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of mathematics content and pedagogy.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency with educational technology and digital learning tools.

Strong organizational and classroom management abilities.

Ability to create an engaging and supportive learning environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?22,000.00 - ?32,000.00 per month
