Position Overview:

As a faculty member specializing in Mathematics, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality education to our students. Your expertise in Mathematics will contribute to the academic excellence and professional development of aspiring marine professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Course Delivery:

Design and deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and workshops in various mathematical topics relevant to marine engineering and navigation.

Ensure that course content is up to date, aligned with curriculum standards, and meets the learning objectives.

2. Student Engagement:

Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment that encourages active participation, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Provide academic guidance and mentorship to students, supporting their academic and personal growth.

3. Assessment and Evaluation:

Develop and administer assessments, quizzes, and examinations to evaluate students' understanding and mastery of mathematical concepts.

Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to facilitate their learning progress.

4. Curriculum Development:

Contribute to the development and enhancement of the mathematics curriculum, incorporating best practices and innovative teaching methodologies.

Integrate real-world applications of Mathematics into the curriculum to enhance students' understanding and relevance.

5. Professional Development:

Stay updated on the latest developments and advancements in Mathematics education and teaching pedagogies.

Engage in continuous professional development activities, such as attending workshops, conferences, and training sessions.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in Mathematics at an Engineering college, must have undergone B.Ed./M.Ed. or VICT/TOTA (Vertical Integrated Course for Trainers) certification or in a Marine college with FIN (Faculty Identification Number).

Strong knowledge and expertise in Mathematics, particularly in areas relevant to marine engineering and navigation.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex mathematical concepts to students.
