Job Description

Responsible for the procurement and inventory management of Agilent manufacturing materials, components, equipment and/or services in accordance with supply chain optimization and management objectives.


Coordinates material sourcing for new product introduction (NPI) projects, in collaboration with R&D and Marketing.


Assures the procurement and inventory management of high technology or life sciences production and/or non-manufacturing materials, equipment and/or services in accordance with supply chain optimization and management objectives.


Effectively manage Third Party Purchases (3PP) Process. Coordinates material sourcing for new product introduction (NPI) projects, in collaboration with R&D. Establishes and manages supplier relationships including prices, monitoring supplier performance, selecting/analyzing the supply base and developing and executing the commodity plans.


May manage contract manufacturer (CM) or original design manufacturer (ODM) relationships to ensure inventory optimization. May be responsible for contributing to or leading process improvement efforts, such as in new product introduction (NPI), resourcing, cost reduction and/or quality.


Establishes and manages supplier relationships including negotiating contracts and prices, monitoring supplier performance (using TQRDCE) and researching/selecting/analyzing the market supply base.


May manage contract manufacturer (CM) or original design manufacturer (ODM) relationships to ensure best total cost of ownership, availability and inventory optimization.


May be responsible for contributing to or leading process improvement efforts, such as in new product introduction (NPI), resourcing, supply chain improvements, risk mitigation/avoidance, cost reduction and/or quality.


May consider specific regulatory or compliance regulations pertaining to specific categories or products.


May have global responsibility and/or support multiple sites.


Solves and help team to solve problems of limited or wide scope and complexity.


Solves and help team to solve straight-forward or complex issues, challenges and problems within field of specialization


Own & improve processes, Lead Internal Projects and team activities to improve productivity.


In addition to the above:


o Coach & Mentor to other Agilent employees


o Routine presentation of department information


o Lead Internal projects & team activities.


o Act as team lead to 2-3 ICA Employees


o Own daily work improvement areas


o May be required to independently resolve complex projects, issues, challenges encountered.


o Coordinates with other functions and Third parties


o Understand and apply appropriate quality improvement processes


o Adhere to and promote the Agilent Values


o Exchanges and clarifies information with customers or others outside the organization


o Competent presenter; promotes process, program or project with other functions and organizations


o Represents the organization in providing solutions on projects

Qualifications
------------------


Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent.



Post-graduate, certification and/or license may be required.



Typically, at least 12+ years relevant experience for entry into this level.
