Schrodinger's mission is to revolutionise drug discovery through the use of breakthrough computational methods. Our drug discovery group of around 100 scientists includes designers, modelers, computational chemists, medicinal chemists, crystallographers, biochemists, and biologists with experience working on all common target classes and therapeutic areas. We are a global team, with a footprint in the US (New York, Portland, San Diego, Boston), Germany, Japan, the UK, and India]. The group is supported by more than 100 software developers and engineers as well as a large scale computing infrastructure. Four of the programs we've worked on in the past 7 years have progressed into the clinic; two are still progressing through trials and two have been approved by the FDA.
We are looking for an Account Manager for our Materials Science division.
Who we are looking for:
• A customer-oriented problem-solver who can identify the potential customers for Schrodinger software sales, identify their software requirements, generate quotes, quote to the requirement of tenders, handle negotiation, terms, procurement, and legal processes.
• Follow Up with them post sales payment collection.
• Coordinate with the Software architect to make sure the software is installed and with the scientists to provide the training and support etc.
• An excellent communicator and team player
• A self-sufficient multitasker with good organisational skills who can perform well under pressure
• A highly-motivated self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team.
• A material science enthusiast who can relate to common research concepts of domain.
What you'll do:
• Identify, qualify, and develop new business in software business development.
• Oversee, nurture and grow existing service accounts.
• Work with the account management, application science and finance teams to support accounts' needs.
• Produce timely and accurate business reports and revenue forecasts.
• Travel to customers, as well as represent and promote Schrodinger at conferences, workshops.
What you should have:
• A relevant degree in Material sciences.
• Experience in Account Management or Business Development in the scientific software (or related) industry.
• Outstanding customer relationship and management abilities.
• Experience in selling life science software is a plus.
• Familiarity with computational chemistry software is a plus.
• Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce, Netsuite) is a plus.
