At TE, you will unleash your potential working with people from diverse backgrounds and industries to create a safer, sustainable and more connected world.Job OverviewTE Connectivity\'s Materials Planning Teams are responsible for the plans, schedules, and monitoring of the movement of material through the production cycle. They determine quantity and order date for materials to meet production or engineering schedules, initiate purchase or production requisitions compliant with supply agreements, and develop the schedule to be used in the production facility based on forecasts and historical analysis. The Team develops specifications for new contract orders as well as forecasts and plans for labor requirements. They provide timely and accurate input on supplier performance and may be asked to participate in higher level supplier performance reviews with the strategic sourcing team. They also monitor cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value.Roles & Responsibilities

• Work directly with the Import planner to release orders to support customer demand.
• Work directly with the Import planner to expedite product from TE manufacturing locations on critical parts.
• Support inventory planning to support customer demand.
• Help to establish inventory levels for assigned products in support of customer requirements and forecast.
• Supports the overall GAD-NA effort in achieving the goals and objectives of delivery, associated cost, quality, value and service.
• Respond to calls from Customer Care involving delivery, quotes, expedites, cancellations, and reschedules.
• Work to meet the Goals for Automotive North America.
• Potential evening contact with TE customers for related delivery issues.
• Monitoring and creation of deliveries per Customer needs (Customer Requested Date).
• Notify Sales & Customer Service teams of any schedule impacts to customers.
• Review past due orders to determine most effective action-reschedule.
• Timely reporting of key metrics (Past Due & Ship-to-Request)
• Aid Materials Manager in achievement of performance targets, including delivery, inventory, and cost avoidance/cost reduction.
• Serve as cross functional liaison to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.

Experience Required/Desired

• Knowledge of SAP and the TE Business Information applications is a plus.
• APICS Certification a plus
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Good written and verbal skills
• Familiar with the Microsoft package of Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Experience in the Automotive industry is a plus.
