Job Summary The Materials Planner is accountable for securing materials at the local plant level, including tollers, to support the Global Active Ingredients Supply Plan. This role interfaces closely with plant personnel for the movement of the material and the Master Planner. How You Will Help Us Succeed Once the feasible Supply Plan has been approved in Integrated Business Planning (IBP), planned purchases and stock transfers are passed to S4. A Materials Planner:
Converts a Purchase Requisition to a Purchase Order against an outline agreement or creates a purchase requisition
Converts Planned Stock Transfer Requisitions to Stock Transfer Orders
Secures materials at the local plant level, including tollers, to support the Global Active Ingredients Supply Plan
Communicates with suppliers for shipment schedules and expedites on-time deliveries
Prepares for pre & post-shipping documents (LOI, Label, BL, COO, COI...)
Performs shipment transactions in the SAP system (GR, PGI, DN, QA33)
Maintains close communication with the Master Planner to review any changes on the schedule or escalate issues as required
Coordinates with Regulatory and Master Planner on required packaging/label changes
Maintains up-to-date order and shipping documentation records per audit retention requirements
Processes non-PO invoices for shipment freight
Completes transactions timely for financial closing periods
Performs order pricing updates per outline agreements
Additional responsibilities as assigned by your manager
What You Will Bring to Us
Bachelors in Logistics, Supply Chain or Business Management/ Advanced Supply Chain or Project Management Certification preferred (CSCP, CPIM, CPM)
5+ years of experience in multiple areas that would include time spent in functional supply chain roles as well as manufacturing, procurement, finance, or another business function in a multi-national environment
High-level proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
ERP experience is required (SAP preferred)
Direct experience in a planning role along with advanced planning system experience required
Experience in manufacturing industries is preferred
Understanding functional supply chain elements is required, including production operations, procurement, production planning and scheduling, inventory management
Manages work using data and metrics. Owns and utilizes KPIs to manage processes and drive improvement, including ensuring valid planning metric feedback is delivered every cycle to stakeholders
Ability to facilitate meetings with appropriate stakeholders, such as manufacturing, procurement and/or other planning members
Ability to act as the local focal point to manage questions from cross-functional stakeholders about the current schedule
Ability to periodically review supply restrictions, and facilitate discussion with stakeholders to identify options for improvement
Ability to support and/or lead small-scale projects or initiatives
Strong written and verbal communication capabilities
Demonstrates results through a proactive nature
