Job Description

1. Selection of materials of construction (metallic/non-metallic) considering relevant
process data/Fluid composition, Potential degradation mechanisms, applicability of
chemical inhibition, Design Life and Clientxe2x80x99s requirements.
2. Extended knowledge to develop MOC Verification Report, Material Selection diagrams
and Reports (MSD and MSR/MSP), Corrosion Control & Monitoring Philosophy.
3. Specifying technical requirements for sour service materials, cladding/weld overlay
with corrosion resistant alloys.
4. Knowledge of using Corrosion assessment software like ECE, Predict for evaluation of
selected materials and its allocated corrosion allowance with respect to process fluid
properties & material heat and mass balance (HMBxe2x80x99S).
5. Review and verification of other engineering disciplines {e.g. Specifications, Process
and Mechanical datasheets P&IDxe2x80x99s etc.) and vendor documentation.
6. Have working knowledge of International Standards (ASTM, ASME, API, ISO, NACE,
Shell DEP, Saudi Aramco) for Material and Corrosion, Welding and NDT process.
7. RBI/ Base Line Survey Study for service assessments against a range of degradation
mechanisms.
8. Collection and analysis of the project technical specifications issued by the Oil /Gas
Company and International Standards Bodies etc. (i.e. ASME, ASTM, NACE, EN, ISO,
etc.).
