You will be working as Material Planner and will be part of Process Automation Business Area for Measurement & Analytics division based out at Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Manufacturing Unit Manager and will be primarily responsible for end-to-end planning of inventory including sales in excess of invoicing from purchase requisition to customer invoice. Supporting internal customer service inquiries. Setting up inventory parameters, inventory targets and ensure adequate replenishment of inventory through purchase orders.Your responsibilities Segmenting the portfolio of materials through an ABC/XYZ analysis, product lifecycle management and commercial policy. Defining inventory policies according to this segmentation Calculating and maintaining in the planning systems and ERPs, inventory parameters, safety stock, reorder point, lot , lead-time and replenishment strategies Collaborating with buyers for obtaining the best possible supplier performance in terms of supplier on-time delivery, MOQ, quality, lead-time and flexibility Working with operations buyers and GBS to align planning of material with call offs and ensuring that purchase requisitions are converted into purchase orders Managing MRP (materials resource planning) exception messages on daily basis. Supporting cycle counting and year-end inventory counting. Conducting financial risk assessments decisions relating to inventory, conducts root case analysis when necessary Ensuring materials meet specifications, quality standards and are cost-efficient. Ensuring the consistent and adequate supply of materials necessary for production Tracking production volume and monitoring customer demand patterns and purchasing trends. Scheduling and overseeing the supply and delivery of materials and products Your background B.E or B.Tech in Electrical or Electronics or Instrumentation engineering from a reputed university Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in material planning with instrumentation products Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain management Proficiency in SAP \' production planning control and material management systems More about us ABB\'s Measurement & Analytics division is among the world\'s leading manufacturers and suppliers of smart instrumentation and analyzers.
