About us

Lighthouse Communities Foundation works in the area of skilling and livelihoods for underserved youth. This is a pioneering program with a strong PPP model, an agency-led approach to livelihoods, and a vision of socio-economic transformation. The Lighthouses are run through a public-private partnership that empowers the Government, Corporations, NGOs, and Citizens to work together towards changing lives. The provision of location and capital expenditure for the Lighthouse centers is taken care of by the Government. Corporates contribute through CSR funds to provide operational expenses. NGOs come on board to provide various skilling courses to the youth. With penetration in more than 400 of the 500-odd slum communities of Pune, the program has now expanded to other cities viz. PCMC, Dombivali, Aurangabad and also States viz. Delhi, Odisha, and Hyderabad.

About Global Opportunity Youth Network:

The Global Opportunity Youth Network (GOYN) is a global initiative catalyzing systems shifts for youth opportunity in communities around the world through the creation of sustainable training, employment, and income-earning pathways. GOYN works with "Opportunity Youth" -- young people aged 15-35 who are out of school, unemployed, or working in informal jobs.

About the role:

The Program Manager will be responsible for delivering, and evaluating training programs aimed at enhancing the skills, knowledge, and capabilities of youth participants. This role requires expertise in curriculum development, facilitation, and mentorship to empower youth with the tools they need for personal and professional growth.

Your role in supplementing the Organisational goals:

• Training Delivery: Facilitate engaging and interactive training sessions, workshops, and seminars using participatory methodologies and adult learning principles.Provide mentorship and coaching to youth participants to support their personal development and skills acquisition.
• Quality Assurance: Monitor the quality and effectiveness of training programs through participant feedback, assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure adherence to program objectives, timelines, and budgetary constraints while maintaining high standards of program delivery.
• Capacity Building: Build the capacity of facilitators, and volunteers involved in program delivery through training, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.Foster a supportive and collaborative learning environment that promotes skill development and knowledge sharing among program staff and participants.
• Monitoring and Evaluation: Implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess the impact and outcomes of training programs on youth participants. Collect and analyse data to measure progress, identify areas for improvement, and report on program achievements to stakeholders and donors.
• Partnership Development: Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including community organizations, educational institutions, and employers, to strengthen partnerships and enhance program sustainability. Identify opportunities for collaboration, rmobilization, and advocacy to support youth empowerment initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, International Development, Communications, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum 4+ years of experience as a trainer or facilitator in youth development programs, preferably within the NGO sector.
• Excellent facilitation, coaching, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate youth participants.
• Knowledge of participatory learning methodologies, adult education principles, and youth empowerment strategies.
• Experience in monitoring and evaluating training programs, collecting data, and preparing reports.
• Computer skills, including MS Word, Ms Excel and MS PowerPoint. Documentation skills.
• Excellent written & verbal communication in English, Hindi and Oriya (desirable).
• Skills in facilitating participatory training and workshops (desirable)
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with and bring out the best in a team.
• Willingness to travel.
