We are currently seeking a Master data management lead, to join our team and lead our Master Data Management (MDM). As an Item Master Lead, you will be responsible for leading the item master team and overseeing the accuracy and integrity of item master data. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, inventory management, and finance, to ensure consistent and reliable item data throughout the organization. In this role, you will be responsible for:
Lead and manage the item master team, including assigning tasks, providing guidance, and conducting performance evaluations.
Develop and maintain item master data management processes, procedures, and standards.
Ensure the accurate and timely entry of new items into the system, working closely with procurement and vendor management teams.
Conduct regular audits of item master data to identify and resolve any discrepancies or errors. Monitor item data quality and consistency and implement data cleansing and enrichment activities as needed.
Oversee the update of item attributes, such as lead times, planner codes, and sourcing organizations, as required.
The required qualifications for the job include:
Bachelors degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
Proven long standing experience (7+ years) in item master management or related roles, with demonstrated leadership abilities.
Strong understanding of supply chain processes and item management principles
Proficiency in using item master management tools and systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, E2Open); Oracle preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communication and collaboration abilities
Ability to lead a team, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple priorities.
